Elliott Sadler, driver No. 1 OneMain Financial team

"It's always tough to know how much the track will change between practice and the night race. My team has worked hard all morning to find handling that we think will be close to what we need for tonight. I'm looking forward to racing at my home track again and hopefully getting locked in as the regular season points leader. Those 15 playoff points will give us a strong start as we drive for the championship."

Michael Annett, driver No. 5 Pilot Flying J team

"We learned a lot this morning about our Pilot Flying J Chevrolet and we have some work that we need to do before qualifying later today. The handling is not quite where I would like it, but I know our guys will work hard to get it there. We got a top-10 finish here in the spring and are looking to do that again. This is always a great race for the fans and a fun one for the drivers, so I can't wait to get out there tonight, be aggressive, and race for the win."

Justin Allgaier, driver No. 7 Hellmann’s team

“We had a really good practice session today with our Hellmann’s Chevy. We liked the balance from the start and just focused on what we could do to find more speed. Racing under the lights at Richmond is always a lot of fun and JR Motorsports has been strong here recently, so hopefully we can finish up front tonight.”

William Byron, driver No. 9 Axalta team

“I think we started out pretty good today. We tried some different things and got a little off track, but towards the end we started to get back where we needed to be. We have a change we need to go back on that we did there at the end, but I know these guys will get this Axalta Chevrolet where it needs to be for tonight’s race.”

Scott Radel, crew chief No. 88 Degree Deodorant team

“We had a decent practice this morning with the Degree Deodorant Chevrolet. We went through some changes to see how they affected the balance of the car. This allowed us to get a pretty good idea of where we want to be for the race tonight.”
