Quotes:

Michael Annett, driver No. 1 TMC Transportation team

“We had a solid No. 1 TMC Transportation Chevy in practice today at Iowa Speedway. For our first run, we were tight in the bottom of Turns 3 and 4, but on the top groove we had better rotation. Travis (Mack, crew chief) made really good changes for the second run that I felt like I could enter the corner wherever I want to. The rain-shortened practice wasn’t what we were hoping for, but I think we’ll be really good for tomorrow.”

Justin Allgaier, driver No. 7 BRANDT Professional Agriculture team

“It crazy how much this track changes from year to year with the weather it endures. It makes coming here that much more fun. We had a pretty decent BRANDT Professional Agriculture Camaro in practice for the short amount of time we were able to run before the rain got here. We have a little more to do to get the balance closer to where we need it, but I have no doubt we’ll be strong tomorrow.”

Zane Smith, driver No. 8 La Paz Cocktail Mix team

“I’m really looking forward to racing this La Paz Cocktail Mix Chevy tomorrow at Iowa Speedway. It was a bummer that practice was cut short due to the rain, because we were making strong gains for each run and I wanted to see how far we could get. Our second run was our best run, and we made multiple laps on both the top and bottom groove to get a good feel for how we were turning through the corner. The weather looks much better for tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to jumping back in this No. 8 and continuing our top-10 streak.”

Noah Gragson, driver No. 9 Switch team

“Dave Elenz (crew chief) and the team brought a fast Switch Camaro to Iowa this weekend. I wish we would have been able to get some more laps in during practice before the weather hit, but JR Motorsports has a history of being strong here and I think we’ll be in good shape for the race tomorrow.”
