Counting The Century: JRM’s Journey to 100 NASCAR Xfinity Series Victories

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 26, 2025) – JR Motorsports hit the century mark in NASCAR Xfinity Series victories today, becoming the fourth organization to top 100 victories.

With the 100th win, JR Motorsports is just one victory from tying Richard Childress Racing for third on the all-time teams list, trailing only Roush Fenway Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing in series history.

Connor Zilisch outraced the field over the final laps to earn the 100th win for JR Motorsports, topping former JR Motorsports driver Sam Mayer over a chaotic three-lap dash to the yard of bricks. It was the young driver’s third straight win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and sixth overall, all coming for JRM.

Many highlights make up JR Motorsports’ first 100 victories, from No. 1 to No. 100. Click here to see and purchase JRM 100th Win merchandise.

Martin Scores First Win for JRM

The journey to 100 began on March 1, 2008, when Mark Martin tallied No. 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Hall of Famer led 81 laps on the day in a Delphi-sponsored Chevrolet to earn that first win.

Keselowski Rings The Bell in Nashville with U.S. Navy

Later that same year, Brad Keselowski held off a charging David Stremme to earn his first win for JRM, the first of his career, and the first for the U.S. Navy, a pivotal new sponsor for the organization at Nashville Superspeedway.

Smith Nips Keselowski in Close Daytona Finish

Regan Smith’s win at Daytona International Speedway to open the 2014 season stands out in two ways: it ended a long winless streak for the team and it came in dramatic fashion, as Smith won a race to the finish line over Keselowski by a scant 0.013 seconds.

The triumph also kicked off what would be a championship season for JRM. Chase Elliott, son of NASCAR legend Bill Elliott, would win three times that season and clinch the team’s first NXS title.

Elliott Notches 25th Win at Richmond

Elliott also notched the 25th victory for JRM in 2015 at Richmond Raceway. That triumph was also Chevrolet’s 400th in NXS history and the lone win of the season for the young driver.

Boss Man Wins First as a Driver for JRM

Team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. made his contribution to the most significant wins in JRM history in true Earnhardt fashion.

Returning to one of his favorite tracks, Richmond, in 2016 with long-time partner Hellmann’s, Earnhardt Jr. notched his first victory for the team he owns, a dominant drive in the No. 88 Hellmann’s/Blessings in a Backpack Chevrolet. Blessings in a Backpack is one of the organizations supported by The Dale Jr. Foundation and the win helped raise funds for children dealing with food insecurity in partnership with Hellmann’s.

The race itself saw Earnhardt Jr. lead 128 of 149 laps en route to his fourth career NXS victory at the Virginia short track.

Reddick Seals the Deal at Homestead

In 2018, young Tyler Reddick came aboard to drive the No. 9 Chevrolet at JRM, and he started the season with a bang by nipping JRM teammate Elliott Sadler by a scant .0004 seconds at the finish line in the season opener at Daytona. The finish is still the closest in series history.

Reddick would win one more race that season—the winner-take-all Playoff finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway—by riding the high line past Cole Custer to win the race and the third NXS championship for JRM.

Allgaier Posts JRM’s 50th at Richmond

Justin Allgaier, who has been a mainstay at JRM since 2016, earned the 50th win for the organization at Richmond in the pandemic-ravaged season of 2020. Racing back-to-back on Sept. 11th and Sept. 12th, Allgaier raced to victory in a Chevrolet sponsored by FilterTime to earn the half-century win on Friday, and followed it the next day with another win in a BRANDT Professional Agriculture Camaro. Allgaier is the all-time leader in wins for JRM with 25, including three so far this season.

Four in a Row for Gragson

Noah Gragson won 13 races for JRM and was a Championship 4 contender in his final two seasons (2021 and 2022). Four of those triumphs came on successive weekends during the 2022 campaign.

Starting at Darlington Raceway in the 24th race of the season, Gragson went on a tear, winning at the Track Too Tough to Tame. A week later he won at Kansas Speedway, followed by a triumph in the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway and finishing the four-peat with a master class at Texas Motor Speedway.

Mayer Wins 75th at His Home Track

As the win totals for JRM grew, so did the anticipation of hitting 100 victories.

The 75th victory for the team came via Sam Mayer’s triumph at Road America, and that win was not only his first in the NXS, it came at his hometown track on July 29, 2023.

The young star led just two laps—the final two—on the way to his maiden triumph, and he wasn’t done yet. Mayer followed his initial win three races later with a wild come-from-behind victory at Watkins Glen and added a road-course win on the Charlotte Roval a few weeks later. He capped the late-season surge by holding off Riley Herbst at Homestead-Miami Speedway to win his first oval race in the series and surge to the Championship 4 at Phoenix.
