MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 27, 2020) – Part of the charm in running throwback paint schemes in NASCAR racing is getting to revel once more in colors that are important to your team, your sponsors and, in this case, your team owner.

As part of the drive to celebrate JRM owner Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s enshrinement in the NASCAR Hall of Fame next year and to honor his dominance of the NASCAR Xfinity Series (two championships, 24 victories), the No 7 team and driver Justin Allgaier will honor Dale Jr. by hearkening back to a most popular paint scheme from 2003.

Allgaier’s No. 7 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet will wear the Dirty Mo Posse paint scheme that was on Earnhardt Jr.’s Chevrolet at Daytona in the summer of 2003. That car, with Earnhardt Jr. at the wheel, led all 100 laps of the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway from the pole. It was a dominant performance, as he led Cup teammate Michael Waltrip all the way to the checkered flag.

The orange and red flames also have special meaning for BRANDT. During 2016, BRANDT’s first season as a JRM partner, Allgaier’s machine carried the flames on the side panels of his No. 7.

The signature flames on the white undercoat of the Darlington car should bring back happy memories for JR Nation, too. At the height of his mastery of plate racing, Earnhardt Jr. posted his third Daytona victory in four NXS races at Daytona that Independence Day weekend. He would go on to earn seven victories in the series on the 2.5-mile oval, nearly a third of his career total of 24.
