Coming Together: hellowater, BRANDT, Allgaier Help Texans Weather Storm of the Century

Following the snowstorm that hit Texas last week, BRANDT, hellowater and Allgaier teamed up to deliver a much-needed supply of water to the state.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2021) – When the wheels come off, it’s good to have friends and allies.

When a once-in-a-century arctic storm pounded Texas last week, it shut down utilities for many in the state. With no heat, Texans were freezing, and that wasn’t the worst of it. Basic items became scarce, including potable water, and there’s no more basic item than water.

Enter Camping World’s Marcus Lemonis, who reached out to water companies with a Tweet aimed at getting relief to the affected areas.

That drew the attention of JRM driver Justin Allgaier, on behalf of new partner hellowater, which will be the primary sponsor on Allgaier’s No. 7 Chevrolet for 2021 races at Atlanta Motor Speedway (July 10) and Watkins Glen International (Aug. 7). In addition, he added Rick Brandt of primary backer BRANDT Professional Agriculture, which has collaborated with Chicago-based hellowater to produce a patented immune defense technology branded CYTO PLUS™.

Brandt, who was traveling between Daytona and Tampa at the time, responded immediately, and the wheels began to grind to get hellowater product to the people in Texas who needed it.

Once the particulars were worked out and the life-saving H2O was on its way, Allgaier again took to Twitter to thank all involved.

Lemonis, a tireless promoter of working together to do good deeds, showed his appreciation to both hellowater and Allgaier.

It’s just another example of how NASCAR racing—and the relationships it engenders--can help bridge many gaps, especially when the chips are down, Allgaier said.

“What Texas is going through right now is just incredible,” he said. “We’ve seen it before, with the pandemic and natural disasters, things that just happen and catch all of us off-guard. To hit the response the way that they have and for what they’re trying to do, it was pretty awesome. Nobody’s looking for anything out of it, either. It’s truly a way to try and help the people of Texas get through something we all hope we don’t have to go through. It was a really neat way to get everyone on the same page. It’s something that means a lot to me.”
