In 2024, Phillip Bell returns to JR Motorsports as the crew chief for driver Brandon Jones, and he intends to improve on the already rich legacy the team has forged since 2014. Bell has a long history with the No. 9 team at JR Motorsports, dating back to 2017 when he joined the organization as the team’s second engineer. The No. 9 team owns all three of the team’s NASCAR Xfinity Series championships (2014, 2017, and 2018) and Bell was an integral part of the two most recent crowns.
