Caution-Free eNCCiRS Season Finale at HMS Sees McCandless Lead JRM; Wilson Wins Title

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 9, 2025) – The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series crowned Steven Wilson champion on Tuesday night in the season finale at the virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway. The two-car JR Motorsports team of Blake McCandless and Briar LaPradd finished the season in 38th and 40th positions, respectively, in front of a crowd at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in downtown Charlotte, N.C. For the final race of the season, McCandless elected to try a differing strategy to offset from the rest of the field in his #8 C4 Energy Chevrolet. However, with the lack of a caution flag to shake things up, the gamble did not pay off. After going 18 laps past the halfway point of the race that saw McCandless move up to the fifth position, he would have to pit for tires and fuel. Without a single caution to break up the race, McCandless settled in 38th where he would remain for the rest of the race.

LaPradd, driving the No. 88 Ledford Billiard Supply Chevrolet, started his final eNCCiRS event from 35th, three spots ahead of McCandless, and finished 40th after going a lap down midway through the caution-free event. A gamble on pitting early in the event came to naught with the lack of caution flags, and the pace dropped him a lap behind the leaders. The Tennessee native could not dig his way out of the lap-down tally in the remaining laps.

Steven Wilson dominated the final event in much of the same way he dominated the season, earning his eighth victory and claiming the $100,000 prize as the series champion. Donovan Strauss was second, with Graham Bowlin, Parker White and Tucker Minter the rest of the top five.

For the season. McCandless led JR Motorsports in the standings, finishing 32nd with LaPradd 40th following the final race.

“I figured we’d try to throw one last Hail Mary in what we thought would be a pretty crazy race with the title on the line, but surprisingly not much happened in the field. But I do want to take a moment to thank everyone at JRM and C4 Energy for what was a really fun experience being able to drive this No. 8 car. I have every intention of trying to make it back to the series in 2026, and I know exactly the things I need to improve on should that happen in order to give ourselves a better shot at improving our results in this series moving forward.”

“This was a tough one to close out my eNASCAR career in the Ledford Billiard Supply Chevrolet for JR Motorsports. I just wanted to go out and have some fun one last time. We tried to get creative by pitting early and hoping to catch a mid-cycle caution, but it never came and our night ended early in 40th. It’s been a challenging year, both on track and personally, but I’m proud of the journey and the memories made along the way. My eNASCAR career was fun while it lasted, but it’s time to move on and focus on growing my career off the track. A huge thank-you to Ledford Billiard Supply and everyone at JR Motorsports for all the support through the years.”
