Sevens Wild for Wyatt Miller in Tri-County LMSC Run

May 19, 2026

Wyatt Miller’s latest Late Model Stock Car event at North Carolina’s Tri-County Speedway on Saturday saw the young driver post a solid seventh-place finish in the 75-lap feature on the speedy oval. The event was part of the track’s Ripple Fiber 285 event.

The third-generation driver qualified his No. 73 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet seventh in the field and finished seventh, despite an early-race tangle on the tricky oval. At lap 29 near the halfway point, Miller spun in Turn 2 but recovered quickly and set to regaining lost ground.

Despite the unplanned loop, Miller gathered himself and got back into the groove, picking off several positions to regain the top 10 and advancing to seventh at the checkered flag.

Landon Huffman won the race over Ronnie Bassett Jr. and Donovan Strauss.

“I felt like tonight’s race was a really good night for me and my JR Motorsports team,” Miller said. “I was part of an incident early in the race, but I worked my way back up to where I started. I am starting to get more comfortable and confident in the Late Model, and thanks to the JR Motorsports team for their hard work this weekend.”
