Cut Tire Ends Miller’s Chances at Top-Five in Tri-County LMSC Run

Wyatt Miller’s most recent foray into the world of Late Model Stock Car racing had several high points on Saturday at Tri-County Speedway, but ultimately a cut tire ended his race early on the racy oval layout.

Miller, who is competing on a regular basis in several classes on pavement and dirt this season, qualified his No. 73 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet seventh for the 75-lap feature and was in a good spot to earn a top-five finish before cutting a left rear tire following contact with another car on a late restart.

The damage was enough to send the young driver to the pits and a 10^th-place finish.

“We didn’t have the finish we wanted, but it was a decent night at Tri-County,” Miller said when it was over. “It was my first time racing here, and I worked really hard with the team to learn the track. I had a shot at a top-five finish, but a caution put us in a bad spot, and a few laps later I had a flat left rear tire after making contact with another car. Thank you to Bryan and the entire team for their hard work this weekend. I’m looking forward to my next Late Model race in a few weeks.”
