Rain forced the cancellation of both Xfinity Series practice sessions Friday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway leaving a lot of question marks for Team JRM heading into Saturday's race.

Elliott Sadler, driver No. 1 OneMain Financial team

“It’s unfortunate that today’s practices got rained out. Earlier this week, Kevin (Meendering, crew chief) and I put together a game plan for this weekend and all things that we wanted to try in practice. We have some great notes from last year and had good conversations today. I’m confident we’ll still be ready.”

Michael Annett, driver No. 5 Pilot Flying J team

“Rain washing out practice today means that Travis (Mack, crew chief) and I will have to go back to our notebook from last year’s race here at Indy, which gives me a lot of confidence since all four of the JR Motorsports Chevy’s were really quick here last season. Hopefully we can be just as fast tomorrow with our Pilot Flying J Chevrolet and continue this positive momentum that we have had going these last few weeks.”

Justin Allgaier, driver No. 7 Dove Men+Care team

“This race here at Indianapolis is extremely difficult to manage. Whether the weather is hot, cold, rainy or all of the above. I think for us, luckily, we had a good package here last year at JR Motorsports and hopefully with what we learned from this race last year and fire off at the beginning of the day with a strong Dove Men+Care Chevrolet despite the fact that we didn’t get a chance to practice today.”

Tyler Reddick, driver No. 9 Nationwide Children’s Hospital team

“It’s too bad that the rain didn’t give us an opportunity to get on the track today with our Nationwide Children’s Hospital Chevrolet. But I know that Dave (Elenz, crew chief) has a really strong notebook for this weekend based off of last year here where he and William (Byron) went to Victory Lane. That gives me a ton of confidence going into tomorrow’s race and hopefully we can have the same result when it’s all said and done.”
