Nationwide Children's Hospital News Noah Gragson

Last week on his way to race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Noah Gragson made a special trip to visit the Patient Champions at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 14, 2019) – When one enters the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, it seems like every other hospital you’ve ever been in.

When one leaves, chances are that the only thought running through your head is that it isn’t like every other hospital, and it’s because of the Patient Champions, their dedicated, life-saving doctors, nurses and counselors and all the good work that is done there.

Noah Gragson, driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, traveled to Nationwide Children’s Hospital last Thursday on the way to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, a short 61-mile drive up Interstate 71, along with former JRM driver Tyler Reddick, last year’s NASCAR Xfinity Series champion.

The experience, Gragson said, was incredible.

“It was an amazing experience getting to visit with everyone at Nationwide Children’s Hospital,” the 21-year-old Nevada native said. “It is such a special place with some incredible people. Getting the opportunity to meet with some of the kids and spend time with them is something that I will always remember. It was definitely a special day and I am extremely honored to have represented everyone at Nationwide Children’s Hospital on our No. 9 Chevrolet.”

Nationwide Children’s Hospital was named to the Top 10 Honor Roll on U.S. News & World Report’s 2019-20 list of “Best Children’s Hospitals.” It is one of America’s largest not-for-profit freestanding pediatric health care systems providing wellness, preventive, diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitative care for infants, children and adolescents, as well as adult patients with congenital disease. A staff of more than 13,000 provides state-of-the-art pediatric care during more than 1.5 million patient visits annually. The Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is one of the Top 10 National Institutes of Health-funded freestanding pediatric research facilities.
